Not all CBD oil behaves the same. Often, products that feature isolate
ingredients are more potent, but the opposite is true for CBD oil. Together,
cannabinoids heighten each others' potency——this is called the
entourage effect.
Arrowhead Laboratories extracts and
leverages CBD oil containing all of the cannabinoids present in the original
hemp plant, making our all-natural products more effective than those featuring
synthetics or cannabinoid isolates.
There are three principal solvents to extract cannabinoids from hemp plant
biomass: ethanol, butane, and supercritical carbon dioxide. Ethanol has the
lowest toxic risk and provides the most efficient results, which is why
Arrowhead Laboratories uses a proprietary cold ethanol extraction process.
We leverage automation and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure consistency
in the process, which provides equally consistent quality. Consequently, our
refined CBD oils retain a high level of purity: 80% CBD or greater, with
residual THC well below the FDA limit of 0.3%.
Oil-based CBD products commonly have a low bioavailability, as only 6-12% of
the ingested material is actually absorbed into the body. This small fraction
can be substantially improved by changing the solubility properties through
methods such as emulsification.
Our water-soluble veggie caps, made with
all-natural ingredients, are filled with a powdered form of nano-emulsified CBD
oil and provide a fast, safe, and effective means for delivering the compounds
to our customers.
